My name is Stephanie. I am a single mother living in North Carolina with my daughter loving life and being creative!
About my past:
I was born and raised in a small town in New Jersey. After doing 2 years at a community college, I decided to move out to Pittsburgh Pennsylvania to stretch my legs and my horizons a bit. After a year and a half out there, I met a man and decided to come back east and moved to the Philadelphia suburbs where we decided to get married and have a baby. Things didn't work out the way I thought and life moved on. So my daughter and I moved back to New Jersey where I got my pharmacy license. After another 5 years in NJ, I got that itch again to expand and move just to see what else is out there. So we moved back to Pennsylvania, this time out a little farther towards Norristown. Unfortunately my daughter and I were not happy with the schooling there, so we decided to move again! This time, we moved down to North Carolina! Out to the country where its quite and everyone knows everyone! I became a first time homeowner and now we are figuring out life in the slow lane. Its a different life style down here in the middle of nowhere. Living life and experiencing all it has to offer.
About my hobbies:
What can I say... I love everything arts and crafts. Anything handmade. I feel like people limit themselves all the time, so when they are creative and realize that they can create something amazing, they open themselves up to so many opportunities! I started crocheting as a young child. Something about making anything out of a string and hook has always appealed to me. Back then, there was no YouTube and the internet was in its infancy. I had a few family members and their friends to teach me the basics, and I was off! I started trying different things to see what would work and what wouldn't work. That was all it took for me to find my favorite thing to do! Now its been 20+ years, and I'm still crocheting.
Recently I have been really interested in painting. I can't draw to save my life! With the help of social media and the internet, I found acrylic pour painting! I've done a couple now and I'm completely hooked! I can't wait to see what else I am able to create in this medium. I will be posting my progress and the journey here! So if you're interested in learning along with me, stay tuned!
Now for my most recent exploration. I want to blog. I want to document my art and progress. Maybe even help others who are interested in trying it themselves! I've never done anything like this, so it is out of my wheelhouse. If anyone has any suggestions or ideas on how to improve, I will gladly be open to hearing from you. If there is anything you would like to see or if there is any questions on what you do see, SPEAK UP! Let me know!
Thank you for taking the time to read about me. I hope this is the beginning of something awesome!
